The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it can be alarmed with regard to the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme status sassa [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance position developed for intervention experiences a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
